The first picture is of a business that we visited on Monday called Cinde. Cinde is a private, non-profit organization that promotes foreign direct investment (FDI). Cinde is not part of the Costa Rican government, actually according to Dr. Adelman, Cinde is self-sustaining due to a large donation from the United States many years ago. Some of the companies that Cinde has helped integrate into the Costa Rican economy include; Intel, Procter & Gamble, Baxter Healthcare, and many more. The final picture is of Rob and me finishing dinner in our host family's dinning room!
